Restaurants can only operate from 1pm for home delivery.
The government today ordered the closure of trade and restoration of the most at risk municipalities at 1 p.m. on the next two weekends, and its opening only from 8 a.m., Prime Minister António Costa announced today, 12 November.
“The rule is all closed,” the head of government said at a press conference after the Council of Ministers meeting, referring to the municipalities at high risk of contagion from Covid-19, which will increase from 121 to 191 as of Monday.
The restaurants can only operate from 1pm for home delivery, the Prime Minister said.
António Costa also announced that there would be support for 20% of the restaurants’ loss of revenue over the two weekends compared to the average of the 44 weekends before (from January to October 2020).
Apart from the requirement to close at 1 p.m. and to open at 8 a.m. only, there are pharmacies, clinics and offices, food outlets with doors to the street of up to 200 square metres and petrol stations.
