If it weren’t for the filthy mammon…
Think about it 🤔!
Just a little reminder for those who think that being vegetarian (I don’t mind) is especially environmentally friendly.
More than half of the fresh fruit and vegetables produced in Europe are grown under plastic shade. The biodiversity conditions of some of them (as in the case of the pictures) are zero.
You rarely see a sparrow, let alone a butterfly or/and especially a bee (for obvious reasons). The extent of these plantations is so enormous that it seems almost infinite when you move under the plastic sheets.
Think about it 😲
Photos – Almeria, Spain, 26,000 hectares* of plastic.
* (For those less familiar with agricultural terms…. 1 hectare = 10,000 m2) ergo ….. 10,000 x 26,000 = 260,000,000 m2 🥳
When in 2016 there was talk of fires of catastrophic proportions in Greece, by the way, 26,000 hectares were also burnt just as an example…
and this is just ONE example…
